		<description>Governments require tax filings by June 30 at the latest to do their planning.  Accounting firms start slowing down in the summer and often do not pick up again until February.
Thinning the herd often starts in the summer and lasts until December. 
No one ever wants to admit it, and yet we have all seen lots of layoffs in our careers. 
Just keep in mind that employees obtained specialized knowledge about clients and when the herd gets thinned out so does your clientelle; they may move with the thinned out herd.  Employer beware.</description>
