Practice management in the accounting profession is based on universally accepted business practices and principles proposed as long as 100 years ago. There has been little innovation and virtually no change in the application of those principles in that time, and more particularly in the last 50 years. As a profession if we are to maintain and leverage our position of importance in the global economy we must evolve as well to meet the needs of our clients and associates. This evolution can only be accomplished through innovation derived from the knowledge and experience of collective minds.
